1)  Choose the dates your group wants to book

2)  Figure out approximately how many people you want to book for

3)  Email us at edgewaterresorts@live.com and provide us with the dates you want to book and the number of people you are looking to book for.

4)  We will email you back with our availability, the cost, the downpayment required, how the payment schedule works and the method of payment

 

5)  Once you have decided that you want to book with Edgewater, you let us know and we will put your name on our priority booking list while you collect the downpayment from each person

6)  Your booking is finalized once we have your downpayment.  

7)  Once we have received your downpayment, we will then finalize your payment schedule.

AFTER PROM INFORMATION FOR YOUR STAY AT EDGEWATER


As the organizer, you will need to check in ahead of the rest of the group. Check in time is 2 PM or after and check out time is 10 AM. Please email to let us know the approximate time of your arrival.


Please be sure if you are coming by bus that you arrange to have the bus pick up the group at check out time as we will not be able to store any items for your group and the items cannot be left in the units that you were occupying as we need to have the units available to prepare for the next check ins.

 

Check in is at our office at EDGEWATER INN, 99 MAIN STREET NORTH, WASAGA BEACH


Upon check in the group will receive keys, wristbands, and parking passes.  We will need the license plate numbers for any vehicles requiring a parking pass.  We allow one free parking pass for each bedroom in the cottage.  (For example a 4 bedroom condo unit will receive 4 parking passes).  Additional parking passes may be available at an additional cost.

 

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO KEYS OR WRISTBANDS WILL BE GIVEN OUT UNTIL THE BOOKING IS PAID FOR IN FULL.  If you are paying for a portion of the booking upon arrival, please ensure that you have collected the balance owing, before you come to check in.

 

We require a list of the full names of each person occupying the units. Please designate one responsible person in each unit to take responsibility for their unit and who will ensure that the rules of occupancy are followed in their unit. This list can be emailed to us ahead of time or you can bring the list with you.  Please ensure that you have the list ready before check in as waiting for you to complete the list will delay the check in significantly.

 

We recommend that all gatherings happen outside the units as this will reduce the likelihood of damage to the units, and thus will help to ensure the return of your damage/security deposits.

 

We recommend that the larger units be occupied either by a group of girls or a mixed group as it will then be more likely that the units will be looked after, that there will be less damage, and that you will receive a refund of the damage/security deposits paid. In particular this includes cottages #1, #2, #13 and #17 at Edgewater Cottages and the main house at Edgewater by the Bay.

 

Please remind people to lock the door to their unit when they leave the unit, to ensure that other people who may not care what happens to the unit, do not enter and cause damage for which the occupants will personally be held responsible for.

 

EVERYONE WILL NEED TO BRING SLEEPING BAGS OR THEIR OWN SHEETS AND BLANKETS.  WE WILL SUPPLY PILLOWS AND EACH BED WILL HAVE A MATTRESS COVER AND FITTED BOTTOM SHEET ON THE BED.


We recommend that you bring paper plates, Styrofoam cups, plastic drinking cups, and plastic cutlery to reduce the amount of dishwashing for the group. We will provide pots and pans and other utensils for the kitchens, if the units have kitchens.  We provide gas bbq's and provide the propane.  There is a fire pit area on each property and wood can be purchased from our office.

 

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT ALLOW GLASS BOTTLES OR ANY OTHER GLASS OUTSIDE THE COTTAGES.  IF YOU BRING GLASS BOTTLES, YOU WILL NEED TO BRING PLASTIC DRINKING CUPS FOR OUTSIDE THE COTTAGE.  IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU PURCHASE BEER, ETC. IN CANS RATHER THAN BOTTLES.


Everyone will need to bring beach and bath towels and any other items required for the washroom (such as hairdryers, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc).  Please let the rest of the group know what they need to bring with them.


We require that each person attending the after prom celebration at Edgewater Resorts sign off on the rules of occupancy and agree to take personal responsibility for their own behaviour. Please have the rules of occupancy signed by each person and bring them with you when you come to check in for the group.

 

Please ensure that everyone in the group is aware that if we find willfully caused damage, we will call the police and ask them to press charges against the individuals who have caused the damage

 

Upon departure, we do a thorough review of the unit(s) your group has occupied.  After the weekend, we receive reports from maintenance, housekeeping and our security/customer service team.  Once these reports are compiled, we will provide the organizer with a list of any damages, or issues and will return the security deposit to the organizer in the form of a cheque.  This process can take up to 10 days to complete.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DAY VISITOR WRISTBANDS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE EDGEWATER INN OFFICE.  THE COST VARIES SO PLEASE BE SURE AND CHECK WITH THE OFFICE.  VISITORS ARE USUALLY ALLOWED TO STAY UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 9 PM.


WE ALSO HAVE NIGHT WRISTBANDS AVAILABLE (FROM 3 PM TO 10 AM THE NEXT DAY).  OVERNIGHT GUESTS HAVE TO PAY THE $50/PERSON SECURITY DEPOSIT AS WELL.


(Please note that the cost of the day or night wristband may vary depending on the weekend/period of time you are visiting our property).


BEFORE EITHER A DAY OR NIGHT WRISTBAND WILL BE SOLD, WE WILL REQUIRE THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE ORGANIZER.

There will be no refunds issued for After Prom bookings, statutory holidays, long weekends, including Easter, May long weekend, Canada Day long weekend, August Civic long weekend, Labour Day weekend, Thanksgiving weekend, over Christmas and New Years, or Special events weekends.

If you are unable to attend the after prom celebration, you can find someone to take your place.
